Our story

Boutique Unique is a secondhand and vintage boutique created to help raise long term sustainable funding for Centre Flavie. 100% of Boutique Unique funds directly support Centre Flavie with operational costs and ensuring the longevity of Centre Flavie’s essential services. Together, Boutique Unique and Centre Flavie strive to be effective allies in the battle against poverty so that the most vulnerable may live in a dignified manner.

What is Centre Flavie?

Centre Flavie is a Non-Profit Charitable Organization based in Saint Boniface that serves vulnerable and impoverished members of the community by providing them with essential goods at no cost.  Centre Flavie is a volunteer and donation based organization that collects thousands of donations annually and helps upwards of a hundred families a day.

In 2019 alone, Centre Flavie received and collected nearly 18,500 donations and distributed over 54,000 household articles and bags of clothing. With our new centre opening fall 2022, Centre Flavie expects to serve thousands more each year.

What we Do

Why was the boutique created?

For many years Centre Flavie has managed to meet demand by covering operational costs with government funding and monetary donations. However, with poverty on the rise in Manitoba, the need for Centre Flavie’s essential services is at an all time high. In order to ensure not only the longevity of Centre Flavie but the ability of serving thousands more each year, discussion of a long term sustainable source of funding such as a secondhand boutique began. A volunteer and donation based boutique containing a curation of unique secondhand and vintage goods was thus created.
